To the Mothers, With Love: A Hair Atelier Tribute
As May draws to a close, so does one of our favorite chapters of the year: the month of mothers.
And what a beautiful month it’s been.
In our chairs, we’ve seen mothers laughing through trims, quietly tearing up after a long-needed glow-up, nursing newborns mid-appointment, Facetiming their kids while getting foils done, and even sneaking in a few guilt-free moments of silence under the dryer. We’ve heard stories of first steps, graduation speeches, heartbreaks and hope: whispered over blow dryers, passed between mirrors.
Motherhood comes in many forms. It’s not always biological. It’s not always loud. But it is always felt.
It’s the auntie who raised you.
The sister who stepped in.
The grandmother who still knows your exact curl pattern.
The foster mom, the friend, the mentor, the neighbor, the teacher.
The woman who taught you to love yourself, and the one who reminded you again when you forgot.
We’ve been reminded this month that motherhood is less about perfection and more about presence.
Less about knowing every answer and more about being there when the questions come.
At Hair Atelier, we believe every head of hair tells a story but this month, we got to witness the authors behind the scenes. The givers. The holders. The ones who show up, even when they’re running on empty.
To all of you, thank you. For choosing us. For trusting us. For letting us be a small part of your joy, your journey and your “me-time.”
As Mother’s Month ends, our gratitude doesn’t.
